This past Friday evening I attended the annual Food For The Poor Fundraising Drive, where the outpouring of support and donations was nothing short of amazing.
Food for the Poor (FTTP) is the largest international relief and development organization in the United States. Its interdenominational Christian ministry provides housing, medical care, sanitation, fresh water and education to people in desperate need in 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. They also feed hundreds of thousands of people in those countries every day.
Based on Friday’s donations – FFTP will be able to build over 50 new simple one-family homes and at least one school for those who have been living in make-shift tents with little protection from the elements.
Since its inception in 1982, Food for the Poor has provided in excess of $11 billion in aid (more than half of which was provided since 2010,) and has built more than 91,000 housing units for the destitute.
We at Innovairre are so proud to partner with this wonderful organization.
