India’s NGOs and nonprofits can now access Innovairre’s technology and expertise, which helps raise Rs. 30,000 crore annually
AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT – March 10, 2016 – Innovairre Communications, the worldwide leader in fundraising, has established an operation in India to help charitable organizations connect with India’s affluent and growing middle class. Innovairre helps nonprofits overcome the challenges of tight budgets, donor attrition, rising costs, and digital fundraising. The firm’s unique advantages include its data expertise, cutting-edge technologies, and print production prowess.
Innovairre’s entry into India was announced at an event at the CEE Auditorium. The event featured experts who deliberated on passivity in seeking donors, opportunities from the largest Indian middle class, need for networking in the community, and leveraging digital and social channels to revolutionize communications for social good. Corporate social responsibility and defining the sustainability commitment at the grass roots were discussed, as well.
Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Don McKenzie, President and CGO of Innovaire, spoke extensively about how Innovairre plans to help nonprofit organizations by fundraising and supporting agencies through multichannel engagements and pioneering data and digital. He felt that some of the problems Indian NGOs have are over-dependence on a single stream of funding, lack of commitment, insufficient networking in the community, and not fully leveraging digital and social channels. He felt that corporate social responsibility would benefit corporations as well as nonprofits in the long run.
Mr. Rajendra Joshi, Founder and Managing Trustee of Saath Charitable Trust, stated, “Some key challenges being faced by not for profit organizations are the issues of size, geography, and the sector they operate in. This is besides the challenge of internal database management.”
Also gracing the event were also some of the notable personalities from the NGO and Nonprofit sector of Gujarat, including Dr. Kartikeya V. Sarabhai, Director of CEE; Ms. Janki Vasant, Founder Trustee of Samvedana Trust; Mr. Avinash Bansal, Head of Donor Relations, Oxfam India; Mr. Rahul Nawab, Founder & CEO of IQR Consulting; Dr. Bhushan Punani, Executive Secretary of Blind People’s Association; Dr. Malay Mahadevia, Director, Adani Ports & SEZ; Mr. Gagan Sethi, Founder Trustee-JANVIKAS; Mr. Akhil Paul, Director & Founder, Sense International India; Dr. Mahesh Desai, Medical Director & Managing Trustee, MPUH; and Nadiad and Ms. Neha Lal, GM-HR at GCS Medical College Hospital & Research Centre.
