Yesterday Mashable reported that you’ll be able to watch Hulu in virtual reality next month, and Samsung will be selling $99 virtual reality gear by Black Friday.
In the not too distant future, virtual reality will also be huge for nonprofits and provide donors with immersive, emotionally compelling experiences that should motivate more of them to act sooner and donate more generously.
At Innovairre, we’ve begun considering how virtual reality will best benefit nonprofits, yet until virtual reality technology achieves broadscale adoption, we’ve been experimenting with a technology that enables nonprofits to provide prospects with personalized videos.
We have found that the combination of leveraging inspiring video footage with personalized messaging is an effective way to galvanize donors with an immersive experience, based on current realities. If your nonprofit has emotionally compelling video, you might consider how much more effective it will be when it’s personalized.
